On Starting a Travel Blog

I've been browsing through a lot of travel blogs lately, and I noticed that they're mostly from wordpress. (hehe). I got inspired in starting my own. I thought, I kind of been to quite a number of places and experienced a lot of adventures, not to mention photographs of those which I thought were worth sharing.

The pessimist in me tells me that the places I've been to and the adventures I have experienced were mostly the more popular places and adventures where a lot of people have already gone to; which is what the blogs I have seen in the past few days, talk about repeatedly. The pessimist in me tells me that I may be bound to retold things that many have already heard before and may no longer interest them. The pessimist in me tells me that it will be a futile attempt.

The optimist in me tells me to write about these experiences and tell them to the world. A million other bloggers may have gone to these places but my views and experience will always be different from them-- and that alone may be an interesting thing to share. That I may have the same angle taking the scenic view of the Mayon Volcano but the story behind it may not be the same as the other blogger. The optimist in me tells me to write about my experiences and tell it to the world. And the optimist tells me to write, that's it. Just like the Universal human experience that is commonly called "Love", which has been told many times, in gazillion other ways, but people still read them anyway. People still write about them anyway.

So, I believe you kind of know which part of me won so I'm thinking of having this reserved for my personal rants and ramblings, while I start thinking of what to name my travel blog.

I will update soon. :)

Ciao ciao!

Happy Camper. Happy Lemon.

It's my first time!

I have heard of this Happy Lemon from a lot of my friends but whenever Bebet and I would go to Mega, we can't help but line up in Gong Cha instead. And finally today, we braved Happy Lemon :)

I had Lemon Yakult since it was the most familiar to me (just being safe) . Mitchi had Milk Tea with Sago.

It was love at first sip! Haha
My mouth was flooded because of its sweet-sour burst. Haha. Loved it.

I especially loved the kawaii characters :)

Definitely queuing up again <3

Sand, Sun and Wishful Heart

In the next few days, on Saturday to be exact, I will be in Cagayan de Oro-Camiguin getaway.
My second attempt to go there.

The first being booked through the seat sale of Cebu Pacific, was cancelled because I did not have enough funds to bring me there. So I had to cancel the flight. This time around, the trip was booked in December and a few days afterm Bagyong Sendong came and wreaked havoc on this province. I almost gave up, but because I saw some friends going to CDO and having the time of their lives, I thought, CDO was fine afterall. It will not be the same CDO as before but at least, the City has somehow able to get back on track and already moving on.

Everything is now set except for the fact that I was temporarily transferred to another account for two weeks since it's a flower delivery service and as you all know Valentine's will be in the next few days as well. So needless to say, everyone is needed to be in their posts as this is the peak for this account. And with that, I'm on an 80% chance of getting declined for a leave.

I am bargaining one month of no softdrink policy if I darn get this leave. I only need one fucking day so please, please please please Universe, be kind to me.

I will accept no logical reasons if I don't get approved. And my heart will be forever broken.

Rats, Paris and Preposterousness

I'm watching the Disney-Pixar animated film Ratatouille now on the Disney Channel. In fact, I have watched this film for countless times already but never fails to remind me of this conversation with my friend Jai:

Ako: napakpreposterous naman ng naccontrol nung daga yung ung tao to cook through his hair.
Jai: preposterous seo un, eh yung idea na nagluluto ung daga tinaggap mo?
Ako: may point ka.

I have six followers in this blog!

SIX. six. Six. sIx. siX.

that's six! 6!

Because I only have 2 before. And to be aware that 6 people (hopefully there's more, just that they don't have a google account) are actually reading your blog is inspiring.

Frankly speaking, I still think that no matter how one blogger say that "I only blog for my own consumption", there's this itsy bitsy tiny part in your heart that says, "I hope people would actually read this." -- otherwise, you could have just set the blog setting to "closed" or never have started that blog after all; went back to the basics of writing them in the journal when your only probable reader would be your nosy mother when she tries to randomly go through your things everynow and then.

We have that nature to be acknowledged, to be recognized, to be "epal" in our own special way.

Well, I speak for myself. I blog because I am papansin. Because it's free (I mean writing is free. I pay for the domain. haha) Because my Bohol, Cebu, Baguio Trips are worth posting-- including the experience that might interest other people.

but then again, that's just me. Now I sound too preachy.

To my six followers-- you are like my Palanca so far.
